A workstation with direct or network connections to a storage system's
management ports and that is used to manage the system.
A database of managed objects accessed by network management
protocols. An SNMP MIB is a set of parameters that an SNMP
management station can query or set in the SNMP agent of a network
device (for example, a router).
A volume that is enabled for snapshots. A master volume must be
owned by the same controller as the associated snap pool.
Megabyte (MB).
See Management Controller (MC).
Data in the first sectors of a disk drive that the system uses to identify
virtual disk members.
See management information base (MIB).
See Ethernet adapter.
A protocol that enables the storage system's time and date to be
obtained from a network-attached server, keeping multiple hosts and
storage devices synchronized.
See network interface card (NIC).
See world wide node name (WWNN).
The RAID level option that can be used for a virtual disk having a
single disk drive and that does not need the data redundancy or
performance benefits of RAID. The capacity of a non-RAID virtual
disk equals the capacity of its disk drive. For fault tolerance, use
RAID 1 or above.
See Network Time Protocol (NTP).
The network device that originates an iSCSI login request to another
device (the recipient). For a login request from an iSCSI host initiator
to a storage system, the host is the originator and the storage system is
the recipient.
