D. Middle Rear Panel Connection Board Configuration
The connection board on the middle rear panel allows access to
connectors, connections and switches used to install and operate
the DRM-5004X.
See Figure 2-8, Connection Board. Here are descriptions of items on
the connection board.
1. SCSI Interface Connectors - These are amphenol 50 Pin SCSI
connectors. In a basic drive configuration, the built-in changer
controller and two CD-ROM Readers are connected by a daisy-
chain between connectors A and B, with a terminator block
installed on connector B. Connectors C, D, E and F can be
used for custom configurations.
2. SCSI ID Switch - These DIP switches are used to set SCSI
IDs of the changer mechanism and the installed CD-ROM drives.
3. Audio Output Terminal - These output the digital audio signal
from standard CD-ROM and CD-DA discs.
4.
Voltage Selector Switch - When this unit is used in the United
States and Canada and other places where a 100V - 120V sys-
tem is used, set the switch to 120V. When it is used in Europe
or other places where a 220V - 240V system is used, set the
switch to 230V. See Figure 2-9, Voltage Selector Switch. (Not
available on the AC100V exclusive-use model.)
5. GND Terminal - Use this terminal to ground the unit.
6. Power Connection - Connect the power cord here. A converter
plug is included as an accessory. Use this to match the shape
of the power outlet.
