6. Begin "Aging Mode Test" by depressing button "S4".
NOTE: Aging Test can be performed with the door closed if pre-
ferred. Remove the door bypass jig and press the S4 key, then
close the door. Aging Test should start after the door is closed.
7. When the aging test is complete without any errors "50_005" will
be displayed in the display window. "50" is the Mode and sub-
mode designation for Aging Mode A and "005" is the total cycle
count as designated in step 4. See Figure 3-30.
8. An incomplete test due to an error will be indicated by the
flashing LED display at the top of the inside front top rail. The
display will read "XX_xxx" . The "XX" is the hex code of the
operation when the error occurred. The "xxx" is the cycle count
when the error occurred. To obtain detailed information about the
error, refer to Chapter 5, Test Mode, Section 5.2 or 5.3. Also
see Appendix D, Test Mode Error Codes
NOTE: Check the condition of the unit should an error occur. The
error could be caused by incorrect procedure during set up for
Aging Mode A. Check the disc insertion, reset all elements by pow-
ering off and then on the unit, then repeat test. If an error occurs
again, contact Service.
9. Exit Test Mode by removing the door bypass jig and pressing the
"TM" button. Powering off the unit during a test automatically
stops the test and exits Test Mode.
