compliant application software. The scanner program software
will operate the WorkCentre 480cx scanner.
The TWAIN standard also allows many software packages access
to the same image input device. Examples of some TWAIN-
compliant software packages are ScanSoft TextBridge Pro and
Adobe Photoshop.
Available in all Windows environments, the WorkCentre 480cx
TWAIN Scanner Application interacts with your TWAIN
compliant scanning application to pre-scan, manipulate, and scan
images. When the WorkCentre 480cx is selected as the scanner,
the WorkCentre 480cx TWAIN Scanner Application launches
automatically to provide prescan, image manipulation and
scanning into the TWAIN compliant application. For example,
when used with TextBridge Pro, the following general sequence
occurs:
The user launches TextBridge Pro and selects the WorkCentre

480cx as the scanner.
The Acquire (or similar) command is given through

TextBridge.
The WorkCentre 480cx TWAIN Scanner Application is

launched.
Pre-scan and image manipulation is performed through the

WorkCentre 480cx TWAIN Scanner Application.
