1.1 Connecting the Paging Amplifier and Loudspeaker
Amplifier
1.1.1 Using the Amplified Outputs
Low Power Mode
The following figure illustrates how to connect the Paging Amplifier and Loudspeaker Amplifier and
(One Speaker)
use the amplified outputs in low power mode to one speaker or horn.
Note: Horn is con-
nected to terminal
block pins 14 (-) and
13 (+) of the paging
amplifier for mono
mode.
Note: You can use an
802.3af compliance
switch or an 802.3af
power injector and hub.

802.3af PoE Injector (low power mode) (sold separately)
*Note: 16 gauge (AWG) wiring is recommended. 
If the speaker will be routed outside, then CyberData
suggests using CL2 or CL3 certified wiring.
Note: The IP66 Analog Horn (011471) comes with a
3.28 foot cable, which can be connected directly to the
amplifier. If the wiring is greater than 3.28 feet, then it
is suggested to use solder and heat shrink tubing to
fasten the additional wires. Twist wire nuts can be
used as an alternative if it is protected sufficiently.
