8.7 Clean the instrument
Clean the exterior of the instrument with a moist cloth and a mild soap solution and then wipe the
instrument dry as necessary.
8.8 Dry the leak detector
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the
personal protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to
the current safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
The bottle tray has a leakage detector to find liquid leaks in the enclosure. When the leakage
detector senses liquid in the bottle tray, the measurement automatically stops for safety. An error
shows on the instrument display. Do the steps that follow when there is liquid on the bottle tray.
1. Remove the solution bottles from the bottom compartment.
2. Use a soft paper to dry the bottle tray. Discard the waste in compliance with SDS and regulatory
requirements.
3. Use a soft paper to dry the electrodes. Refer to
Measurements can only start again after the error (e.g., leak in the tubes, bottles, digestion unit or
dosing cuvette) is corrected, the electrodes are dry again and the error is acknowledged on the
Status menu.
