8.3 Examine for leaks and malfunctions

Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the
personal protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to
the current safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
1. Frequently examine all of the items for damage. Replace damaged items immediately.
2. Examine all of the components in the panel, the connectors and tubings for leaks and corrosion.
Make sure that the connections are tight and there are no leaks.
3. Frequently examine all of the cables and tubing for physical damage. Replace if necessary.

8.4 Schedule automatic cleanings

Schedule automatic cleaning cycles at user configured intervals. Refer to
options
on page 27.
The automatic cleaning cycle completes in approximate 10 minutes. During the cleaning, the
analyzer rinses all of the items that touch the sample with hot acid. After a soaking period, the
analyzer discards the cleaning solution through the waste tube.
