3.6.2 Electrical overview
Pull the handle on the analysis section to access the internal electrical connections. Refer to
Figure
10.

3.6.3 Electrical safety
The air circuit breaker automatically cuts off the main power supply from the AC power line if an
overcurrent (e.g., short circuit) occurs. Keep the air circuit breaker switch in the up (on) position.
Insert or remove the power cord from the electrical outlet to apply or remove power to the instrument.
3.6.4 Connect a device to the modules
To connect an external device (e.g., pretreatment device, alarm, recorder) to a module, refer to the
steps that follow. Make sure to obey the connection requirements in
1. Disconnect power from the instrument.
2. Open the analysis section. Refer to
3. Put the cable through a strain relief fitting. Refer to
4. Strip the wires to 7 mm (0.275 inch).
5. Install each wire in the connector. Refer to
6. Tighten the cable strain relief.
7. Push to close the analysis section. Listen to make sure that the panel moves fully into the latch.
8. Close the doors.
9. Connect power to the instrument.
