6.7 Configure the alarms
Set the low and high concentration values that trigger an alarm condition.
1. Push Menu > Diagnosis > Alarm settings.
2. Select the Concentration alarm screen.
3. Enter the high and low concentration values.
Option
Description
Low limit Sets the low concentration value. An alarm condition occurs when the measured
concentration is less than the low limit value. Default: 0.0 mg/L
High limit Sets the high concentration value. An alarm condition occurs when the measured
concentration is more than the high limit value. Default: 6000 mg/L
4. Select the Mask settings screen.
5. Make sure that the checkboxes for "COD reading too high" and "COD reading too low" are not
selected.
6.8 Configure the relays, inputs and outputs
Configure the modules to use the relay (SPDT), analog output or digital input signals.
1. Push Menu > Settings > IO/Modbus.
2. Select the IO list screen. The IO list screen shows the installed modules and the channel for each
module.
3. Select a module. The setup screen for the selected module shows.
4. Move the on/off toggle to the right.
5. Select the options for each module channel (CH1 and CH2).
Option
Description
Relay
Sets the relay to open or close when a trigger occurs. Select the options for channel
1 and channel 2.
Low conc alarm—The relay operates when the concentration is less than the low
value that is set in the Alarm settings > Concentration alarm screen.
High conc alarm—The relay operates when the concentration is more than the high
value that is set in the Alarm settings > Concentration alarm screen.
Warning—The relay operates when there is a problem with the analyzer operation.
Pretreatment signal—The relay operates a connected pretreatment device before
sample measurements. The signal starts at the scheduled measurement time and
stops at the measurement delay time. Go to the Settings > Measure, Others screen
and enter the Pretreatment delay time. The sample measurement starts after the
pretreatment delay time.
Digital
Sets the instrument to start an operation when an input signal is received. Options:
Input
Clean, Calibrate, Measure, Drain, Sample flush, Standard verification or Stop
Schedule.
Analog
Sets the instrument to send analog output signals during instrument operation.
Output
Select the options for channel 1 and channel 2. High limit—Sets the concentration
for the 20 mA signal. Low limit—Sets the concentration for the 4 mA signal.
Mode: Selects the mA value that is sent during warning or error conditions: Active—
The measured concentration value is sent. Hold—The mA value before the event
occurred is sent. Transfer—A constant mA value is sent. Enter the mA value to be
sent.
