Caution

For optical transceivers with a cabling distance equal to or greater than 40 km (131,233.6 ft.), install an
optical attenuator to avoid overload on the optical receiver when using short-distance SMF optical cables.

An optical transceiver is a laser transmitter. Do not look directly into the optical transceiver to prevent it
from burning your eyes.

To keep the optical transceiver clean, ensure that the unused ports remain capped.
