REAR SUSPENSION SETUP
First check the rate-chart on the bottom of this page to make sure that the air
pressure in your FOX Float X2 Performance rear shock is within range for your rider
weight. If the shock is too hard or too soft you will need to change it. Please see our
Tech Videos section on our website to see how to change the air pressure on your
shock.

SETTING REAR SHOCK SAG
The optimal sag on your rear shock is 20-30% of the piston's movement inside the
shock body (stroke). The distance between the two shock mounting bolts (eye-to-
eye) without a rider on the bike is 212mm progressive & 203mm Linear.
In the Progressive position your optimal sag range is 42.4mm (20%) to 63.6mm
(30%). In the Linear position your optimal sag range is 40.6mm (20%) to 60.9 (30%).
COMPRESSION ADJUSTMENTS
Low-speed compression (LSC) adjustment is useful to control
shock performance during rider weight shifts, G-outs, and other
slow inputs. Starting closed to adjust turn counter-clockwise.
The low speed rebound
adjustment is accessed through
the 3mm Allen head adjuster,
located in the red dial. The low
speed compression is accessed
through 3mm Allen head
adjuster, located in the blue dial.
REBOUND
ADJUSTMENTS
Low-speed rebound (LSR)
adjustment is useful to
control shock performance
during brake bumps,
technical climbing, and
off-camber cornering, when
extra traction is needed.
Starting closed to adjust turn
counter-clockwise.
Proper set up and tuning can vary from shock to shock. Please consult the FOX
manual included with your bike for complete information about set up, tuning and
general maintenance or visit ridefox.com
