Send Power toggle switch — In a DTP2 transmitter to DTP2 receiver configuration, set the toggle switch to

the Up (SEND POWER) position on the powered DTP2 unit to enable sending remote power to the far end. Set
the toggle switch to the Down (OFF) position on the DTP2 unit receiving power (see
toggle switch configuration).
ATTENTION:
The DTP2 T 201 D device is configured to output power to DTP2 models only. If connected to a
Legacy DTP device, set the toggle switch to the OFF position. Failure to turn the power Off will
damage the connected Legacy DTP device.

NOTES:
When the unit is configured for DTP mode via the rear panel switch, the unit can be powered either
with the included external 12 VDC power supply, or over the DTP2 line by a locally powered
receiver or transmitter. When configured for HDBaseT mode, remote power capability is disabled,
and the unit must be powered locally.
When configured for DTP mode, HDMI video, digital embedded audio, and remote power are
available when used with a DTP-compatible receiving device.
When configured for HDBaseT mode, HDMI video and digital embedded audio are available when
used with an HDBaseT-compatible receiving device.
Configuration port — Using a USB cable, plug a PC into the transmitter via this bottom panel mini-USB
D
connector for firmware updates.
HDBaseT/DTP toggle switch — Set this 2-position, recessed toggle switch to configure the output between

HDBaseT and DTP modes. When configured for HDBaseT, use an HDBaseT-compatible receiver. When
configured for DTP, use a DTP-compatible receiver.
Grounding screw — If the transmitter is not mounted to a grounded metal junction box, Extron recommends
