SET MODE

Function

Auto Power OFF
[MENU] > SET > Function > Auto Power OFF
Selects whether or not to automatically turn OFF the
receiver after inactivity for this set period of time�
L "AUTO POWER OFF" is displayed and beeps sound 5
seconds before turning OFF the receiver� If you operate
the receiver during this period of time, the Auto Power
OFF timer is reset�
• OFF: Does not turn OFF the receiver�
• 30/60/90/120min: Turns OFF the receiver after
inactivity for this set period of time�
• No Signal: The receiver will turn OFF when
no signal is continuously received
for 3 minutes�
Power Save
[MENU] > SET > Function > Power Save
Sets the Power Save function to reduce the current
drain and conserve battery power� When the Power
Save function is activated, the call sign or the
beginning of the signal may not be received correctly�
• OFF: Turns OFF the function�
• Auto (Short): Sets the Power saving time to
"Short�"

Monitor
[MENU] > SET > Function > Monitor
Selects an option for the [SQL] Monitor function�
L See the Basic manual Section 3 for details�
• Push: Hold down [SQL] to monitor the frequency�
Release to stop monitoring�
• Hold: Push [SQL] momentarily to monitor the
frequency and push momentarily again to
cancel it�
Dial Speed-UP
[MENU] > SET > Function > Dial Speed-UP
Turns the Dial Speed Acceleration ON or OFF�
The acceleration automatically increases the tuning
speed when you rapidly rotate [DIAL]�
• OFF: Turns OFF the function�
• ON: Turns ON the function�
Key Lock
[MENU] > SET > Function > Key Lock
Selects the key lock type when the Key Lock function
is ON�
NOTE: Regardless of the setting, you can still use
[ ] and [ ] even if the Key Lock function is ON�
• Normal: All keys and dials, except [SQL] and [VOL]
are locked�
• No SQL: All keys and dials, except [SQL], are locked�
• No VOL: All keys and dials, except [VOL], are locked�
• ALL: All keys and dials are locked�
Frequency Selection Range
[MENU] > SET > Function >
Frequency Selection Range
Sets whether the frequency range selected by rotating
[DIAL] is fixed within the receive band�
L This setting does not affect the scan�
• In-band: When you change the frequency on the
band edge, the top or bottom frequency
in the displayed band is selected�
L To change the receive band, select "Select
Band" from the Quick menu or push
D-pad()�
• All bands: When you change the frequency,
the next band is displayed� Set the
selectable frequencies on the receiver to
all bands for continuous selection�
