Replacing the fan

Incorrect fan type
The device may be damaged if the wrong type of fan is installed.
• Only replace the fans with replacement fans from Beckhoff Service.
The fans ensure optimal cooling of the device. Order replacement fans only from Beckhoff. Please get in
touch with your Beckhoff sales contact.
You can replace the fan cartridges while the PC is running. Insert the new cartridge immediately after
removing the old one.
To replace the fan cartridges, follow the steps below as shown in Figure 30:
1. Loosen each M4 screw of the fan cartridge (section A).
2. Turn the fan cartridges to the outside (section B).
3. Remove the fan cartridges (section C).

4. Insert the new fan cartridges.
5. Turn the fan cartridges to the inside.
6. Tighten the M4 screws.
ð You have now replaced the fan cartridges.
