Self-diversion
Calls to a console-connected radio or M427 Dispatcher Port may be diverted to another
radio ID by the dispatcher. This is termed a "self-diversion." To divert calls from a console
or M427 Dispatcher Port, highlight the channel corresponding to that ID. Next enter a
radio ID (either by pressing/selecting a Subscriber ID button or by manually entering the
ID), then press the Self Divert button (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher" submenu or
Subscriber List window or as a preprogrammed button). A message indicating success or
failure of the operation is displayed in the channel box, and the channel name changes to
"DIVERTED." To cancel the diversion, highlight the diverted channel and press the
Cancel Divert button (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher" submenu or Subscriber List
window or as a preprogrammed button). Assuming the diversion cancel is successful, the
channel name reverts to the Radio ID.
Third Party Call Diversion
Calls to a field radio may be diverted to another field radio ID by the dispatcher. This is
termed a "third party diversion." To divert calls from a field radio, enter the radio's ID
(either by pressing/selecting a Subscriber ID button or by manually entering the ID), then
click 3rd Pty Divert (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher" submenu or Subscriber List
window or as a preprogrammed button). Now enter a second ID (the radio to which the
calls should be diverted) and click 3rd Pty Divert again. The first idle MAP27 channel
should be automatically highlighted, then a message indicating success or failure of the
operation is displayed in the channel box. To cancel the diversion, enter the diverted
radio's ID and press the Cancel Divert button (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher"
submenu or Subscriber List window or as a preprogrammed button). A message indicating
success or failure is displayed in the channel box.
Example: Radio ID #25 goes off duty and wants calls diverted to Radio ID #22. One of
these IDs would ask the dispatcher to do the diversion. The dispatcher would enter 25, 3rd
Pty Divert, 22, 3rd Pty Divert. When the diversion should be cancelled, the dispatcher
would enter 25, Cancel Divert.
Radio Disable/Enable
A field radio may be disabled by the dispatcher. In this case, the field radio is blocked by
the trunking equipment from making any voice or data calls. The radio may also be re-
enabled. To perform a Radio Disable or Enable, enter a radio ID (either by pressing/
selecting a Subscriber ID button or by manually entering the ID), then press the Radio
Disable or Radio Enable button (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher" submenu or
Subscriber List window or as a preprogrammed button). The first idle M427 Dispatcher
Port is automatically highlighted, then a message indicating success or failure of the
operation is displayed in the channel box (example: " Disable OK" or "Enable Fail").
System Priority Change/Restore
The System Priority level may be changed by the dispatcher (for instance in an emergency
you may want to increase the priority level to filter out non-priority traffic). To change the
System Priority level, press the Pri'ty x button (available in the "MAP27 Dispatcher"
