Setting Dynamic Groups
In addition to the group IDs that the radios (any field radio) are preprogrammed to respond
to, they can be configured to respond to an additional set of group IDs. This is termed
"dynamic regrouping." The console configuration can include buttons that assign any
combination of 1-16 groups to any radio selected.
From the MAP27 Call submenu or the Subscriber List window, enter a radio ID (either by
pressing a Subscriber ID button or by manually entering the ID), then press the DynGrp
Select button. This displays a Dynamic Regroup button selection submenu or subwindow
(see
Figure 47
A valid Dynamic Regrouping entry contains from 1 to 16 group ID entries, separated by
commas. For example, an entry of
groups 90, 91, 92, 93, and 94 and would clear any previously set groups in the dynamic
group space.
After selecting a Dynamic Regroup button, or manually entering the group(s) from the
keyboard, press Send DynGrp to send the message. If the command is successful,
"Regroup OK" is displayed in the Call Progress area. If the command is not successful,
"Regrp Fail" displays.
The Clear DynGrps button clears the entire Dynamic group space in the radio selected.
Pressing the Exit button returns the main MAP27 Call submenu or to the main Subscriber
List window.
