Initiating a Call Alert
The dispatcher can send a call alert to another radio from the SDC Call submenu, from the
main video screen, if programmed to do so, or from the Subscriber List window if
enabled. The dispatcher first selects the channel that is used for the transmission, enters
the destination radio ID (either by manual key entry or a Subscriber ID alias button), then
click CALL ALERT. If the message is successfully sent, "Alert OK" is displayed. If not
successful, "Alert Fail" is displayed.
Sending a Status Message
If the SDC network supports status calls, the dispatcher can send a status call to another
radio from the SDC Call submenu, or from the Subscriber List window. The dispatcher
first selects the channel that is used for the transmission, enters the destination radio ID
(either by manual key entry or a Subscriber ID alias button), then click STATUS SELECT.
This brings up a Status call selection submenu or subwindow, which shows any
programmed SDC Status ID aliases (see
ID button or entering the status code (1-20) manually, click "Send Status" to send the
message. Click "Exit" to return to the main SDC Call submenu, or to the main Subscriber
List window.
