13 Tips for operators and service technicians

Any repairs above and beyond routine maintenance may only be done by suitably qualified per-
sonnel or by one of our service technicians.
Prior to working on the unit or in case of danger, disconnect it from the mains.

Poor X-ray image

Error
Instead of the X-ray image,
the software shows a com-
pletely white image or no
image
X-ray image too dark
X-ray image too bright

Phosphor storage plate not fed
in straight and inactive side was
scanned
Image data on the PSP has
been erased, e.g. by ambient
light
Fault in the unit
No image data on phosphor
storage plate, phosphor storage
plate not exposed or not suffi-
ciently exposed
X-ray unit is faulty
Incorrect cartridge, barrier enve-
lope was also pushed into the
unit
X-ray dose too high
Incorrect brightness/contrast
settings in the software
Exposed PSP has been
exposed to ambient light
X-ray dose too low

settings in the software

Troubleshooting
Remedy
Scan the phosphor storage
plate again immediately, pro-
tecting it against ambient light
and making sure you feed it in
correctly in the process.
Always scan the image data
of the PSP as soon as possi-
ble.
Contact technician.
X-ray tube / check settings of
the unit
Expose the PSP.
Contact technician.
Use the correct cartridge for
the size of phosphor storage
plate being used.
Check X-ray parameters.
Adjust the brightness of the X-
ray image in the software.
Always scan the image data
of the PSP as soon as possi-
ble.
