Multiple-channel connections

Depending on the options purchased, the S9165A can support up to 8
channels (the hardware requirements for this would include 8 RF cable bundles
and 8 RRHs).
The LAN connection and 10 MHz Ref connection to the IF Base Unit are
channel-independent (that is, they would not be duplicated for a system with
more channels). The remaining eight connections (two IF cables to the IBU,
and a six-cable bundle to the RRH) are channel-specific, and must be
duplicated to add more channels. An eight-channel S9165A would have eight
cable bundles connecting it to eight RRHs, and a total of 16 IF cables
connecting it to the IBU.
The illustration below shows how all possible channels of the S9165A connect
to RRHs, and to the equivalent channels of the IBU.

The USB connection between the S9165A and the RRH is not "plug-and-play". It
should be connected before the S9165A is powered up. If it is disconnected
during use, the S9165A will have to be rebooted after the connection is
re-established.
