Valid and invalid entries
An RRH Serial Number entry can have either of two valid formats: AA########
(two letters followed by eight digits) or <none> (required for any available LO
channel which is not connected an RRH). A further limitation is that the serial
number entered cannot duplicate a number that is already in the table.
As illustrated below, the interface warns you when you enter an invalid
number. For example, as you enter a serial number, the partially entered
number is reddened on the screen; it does not turn white until the entry is in a
valid format.
If you enter a serial number which is already in the table, a Duplicate serial
number error will be displayed when you try to save the list. To avoid that kind
of error when reassigning an existing serial number, use the Up or Down
buttons to move the serial number to the desired channel.

Purpose / Function
Adds a new entry at the bottom of the list. (The button is disabled when there are already as
many entries as the S9165A can support.) The serial number of the new entry is set to
"<none>" at first; enter the number of the RRH being connected to that channel. The serial
number, as you add it, is reddened until the entry is in a valid format (see
entries" on page 30
).
Removes the selected entry (that is, the highlighted entry -- click on another entry to select it)
from the list. The button is disabled when there are no entries. The selection moves to the
previous entry if there is one. Otherwise, the first entry will be selected if there are any entries
remaining.
Saves the current serial number list. The button is disabled after the list is first loaded from a
saved mapping file, and is enabled after the first modification of the list. A dialog with an error
message will pop up if the list contains a faulty entry (this will prevent the list from being saved
until the problem is corrected). See
Closes the dialog without making any list changes.
