2. Press the trigger and apply full throttle (Fig. 10).
3. Release the throttle trigger lockout and ensure that
the blade comes to a complete stop.
3.1 The blade may rotate for up to a minute once
the engine has stopped.

2. Move the stop switch (#9) to the stop
position (Fig. 11-1) ensure that the blade
comes to a complete stop (Fig. 11).

This tool is fitted with a reversible cutting for
cutting operations close to a wall or at ground
level.
1. Loosen the three nuts (Fig. 12-1) holding the
upper belt guard (#21) (Fig. 12).
2. Turn the belt tensioner (#22) to the
"0" position to release the tension
(Fig. 12).
3. Remove the upper belt guard.
4. Disconnect the water hose nipples
and handle from the blade guard
(#16) (Fig. 13).
5. Remove the stop (Fig. 13-1).
6. The cutting head should now be loose and can be
removed from the tool.
7. Remove the belt from the belt pulley.
8. Rotate the bearing housing to the opposite
direction (Fig. 14).
9. Reassemble the stop.
