Do not operate the saw if the lower guard does not move freely and close instantly. Never clamp or tie the lower guard into the open position. If the saw is accidentally dropped, the lower guard may be bent.

When the blade is binding, or when interrupting a cut for any reason, release the trigger and hold the saw motionless in the material until the blade comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove the saw from the work piece or pull the saw backward while the blade is in motion or kickback may occur.

    8439630 7-1/4 in. Metal Cutting Circular Saw V 2.7 INSTALLING A NEW BLADE WARNING: To prevent an accident or personal injury, always turn off the trigger switch and disconnect from the power source before removing or installing the blade. Pull up the height lever (A), and open the base (B).

    V 2.7 7-1/4 in. Metal Cutting Circular Saw 8439630 5. Set up the outer flange on the spindle of the blade by using the hex wrench to lock the shaft screw (B). Push the safety lever (A) to lock the shaft screw and fix the blade in place.

In this case, overload protection prevents the motor from burning out. The saw has a reset button (A) that will restart the motor after it shuts off due to extreme overload.
