3 Controlling the System

MX Modules

3.1 CX23-R Data Processor

The CX23-R Data Processor hosts its own secure web interface for intuitive and
easy to use test setup, control, monitoring and data visualization interfaces. This
server-based interface supports multiple users, and the capability to define system
access restrictions on a per user basis. To manage test data, the CX23-R has the
capacity to perform a broad range of on-board data processing. This includes a
diverse set of computed channels for defining triggers and gates for the Somat
DataModes™ as well as supporting arbitrarily complex mathematically
computations. The acquired test data is stored in the efficient and robust SIE file
format using a high-speed SATA Drive with a storage capacity up to 64 GB .
To set up a CX23-R controlled system, refer to the documentation included with the
CX23-R unit.

3.2 Software

The supplied SomatXR System CD contains a powerful software package
consisting of the
software product
latest device firmware and drivers can be downloaded from the HBM website
(www.hbm.com/daq-support).

3.2.1 HBM Device Manager

The HBM Device Manager is a tool that can list all SomatXR, QuantumX and PMX
modules found on the network. This function is also included with the MX Assistant.

3.2.2 MX Assistant

The HBM software MX Assistant offers the following functions:
