NOTE: Secure this end of the
shaft when removing the swing
motor. If it starts to pull out with
the swing motor it could dam-
age the internal seals.
Removal
Refer to Figure 3-10., Swing Motor Removal and Installation.
1. Thoroughly clean the area around the swing motor to
prevent any dirt from entering the system.
2. Tag and disconnect the hydraulic lines running to the
swing motor. Cap or plug all openings.
3. Secure the worm gear shaft so it does not pull out any
when removing the swing motor. Failure to do so could
damage the worm gear seals.
4. Remove the bolts securing the swing motor to the
swing drive assembly.
5. Carefully pull the swing motor from the swing drive.

mounting bolts to 95 ft.lbs.
(130 Nm).
