MAINTENANCE/SERVICE
Gasoline Engine
LUBRICATING OIL
Check engine oil level daily on
dipstick.
See
"Fuels,
Fluids and
Lubricants•
section for
recommended oil
type.
IMPORTANT:
Never operate the engine with the oil
level below the
"L"
(LOW} mark or above the
"H"
(HIGH)
mark.
CAPACITY
-
LOW MARK TO
HIGH:
1 U.S.
qt.
(1
litre).
Change engine oil and filter after the FIRST 25
HOURS OF OPERATION and every 200 hours (or
at beginning of each operating season) thereafter.
To
change:
1.
Warm up the
engine.
Shut engine off and
remove ignition
key.
2.
Remove the drain plug (A) and allow oil to
drain.
A
CAUTION:
Rememberthattheol ishot.
NOTE:
A drain pan with a capacity of
5
U.S.
gallons (20 litres) will be
adequate.
3.
Check the condition of the used
oil:
-
Thin, black
oil
indicates fuel
dilution.
-
Milky discolouration indicates coolant dilution.
If oil appears diluted, have your Dealer correct
the problem before operating the windrower.
4.
Clean around the filter
head,
remove the filter
(B) and clean the gasket surface.
5.
Apply a thin film of clean oil to the gasket on
the new filter.
