HEADER DRIVE RELIEF PRESSURES
Auger
Header
To check relief
pressure
at flow
control relief
valve:
1.
Disconnect hydraulic
line
at port
·s·
or port
"A"
as marked on header drive flow control
(B).
2.
Attach a
3000
psi (20 MPa) pressure gauge
to
a hose that
is
long enough to allow pressure
gauge to be read from the operator's
seat.
Attach hose to port
·s·
or
·A"
and position the
gauge near the seat.
3. Start engine and move
throttle lever to
half of
maximum engine speed. Move
header
clutch
lever forward to
engaged
position
briefly.
IMPORTANT:
Engage header
clutch
just long
enough to accurately read
pressure.
4.
Pressure should be 2000 psi (13.8
MPa}.
If pressure
is not
as
specified,
proceed with
adjustment:
5.
Move header clutch lever
rearward to
dis-
engaged position. Shut off engine
and remove
key.
6.
To
adjust
relief
setting:
Remove cap nut at relief valve
(C).
Turn the adjustment screw
in 1
/
8 turn
increments,
clockwise to
increase
relief
pressure, counter-clockwise to decrease.
7.
Repeat checking and adjustment procedure
until
relief pressure
is
correct.
