MAINTENANCE/SERVICE
Cab
Air System
A
WARNING:
The air conditioning system
is
pressurized.
Improper
5efVicing may
cause
refrigerant
to penetrate eyes
and
skin
or cause bums. Special equipment
and
procedures are required
to
service the air
conditioning
system.
See
your
Windrower dealer
for
service.
If an accident involving refrigerant
shoud
occur,
see a doctor familiar with this
type
of injury
invnediatefy.
CAB
TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
See "Operator's
Station"
section for
information
regarding
the use of
the various controls
affecting
cab temperature.
AIR CONDmONING CONDENSER
Clean
daily with
compressed
air.
See
"Screens and
Coolers• under cooling
system
maintenance.
FRESH AIR INTAKE
FILTER

follows:
1.
Loosen knob
(A)
and
slide
retainer
out to
release filter (8)
from
rear
of
cab
roof.
2.
Tap
filter
gently on
a
flat
surface,
dirty
side
down.
Do not tap on a tire,
treads
may damage
filter pleats.
3.
Direct compressed air
{100
psi
[700
kPa]
maxi-
mum) through filter
in
opposite direction
of air
flow arrows.
4.
Wash filter as
required:
-
Soak
15
minutes in warm water
(not over
100·F [40•C]) with Filter Element Cleaner,
(Donaldson D 1400 or equivalent).
-
Rinse thoroughly with clean
water,
(maximum
pressure 40 psi
[275
kPa])-.
- Shake excessive water from filter and
allow
element to dry. Do not use compressed
air to
dry filter; it may rupture the wet element.
Protect element from freezing until dry.
5.
Reinstall filter, making sure air
flow
arrows point
towards cab.
A
CAUTION: The
cab air intake filter
is
not
designed
to filter
out
hannful
chemicals.
