Connecting to the Web Interface

Using the Web Interface

This switch provides an embedded HTTP web management interface. Using a web
browser you can configure the switch and view statistics to monitor network activity.
The web management interface can be accessed by any computer on the network
using a standard web browser.
Prior to accessing the switch from a web browser, be sure you have first performed
the following tasks:

The default IP address and subnet mask for the switch is 192.168.2.10 and
255.255.255.0, with no default gateway. If this is not compatible with the
subnet connected to the switch, you can configure it with a valid IP address,
subnet mask, and default gateway.
2.
Set user names and passwords. Access to the web interface is controlled by a
default user name and password. For security reasons, you should change the
default password and configure new user accounts as soon as possible. (See
"Account Settings" on page
3.
After you enter a user name and password, you will have access to the web
management interface.
Note: Users are automatically logged off of the web server if no input is detected
for 600 seconds.
