Chapter 3 Basic Operations — Switching on/off the projector
10) Press as to select [STORE], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The confirmation screen is displayed.
11) Press qw to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button.

f For limitation of the character string that can be set as a password, refer to "[PASSWORD POLICY]" (x page 80).
f Pressing the <MENU> button while the [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT] screen is displayed enables to advance to the next operation
without setting the password of the administrator account but network function of the projector will not be able to be used. When using the
web control function or the communication control via LAN (including operation by application software), set a password.
f When pressing the <MENU> button while the [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT] screen is displayed, the [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT]
screen will not be displayed from the next time the projector is switched on. To use the network function, set a password in the [NETWORK]
menu → [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT].
f The user name and password of the administrator account can also be changed in "[Set up password] page (when accessed by
administrator account)" (x page 273) of the web control screen.
f The user name and password of the standard user account without administrator rights can be set in "[Set up password] page (when
accessed by administrator account)" (x page 273) of the web control screen.

Making adjustments and selections

Perform the image adjustment when the projected image has stabilized.
When using the Zoom Lens (Model No.: ET-D3LEW200) or the Fixed-focus Lens (Model No.: ET-D3LEU100), it is
recommended to adjust the image after at least an hour has elapsed with the focus test pattern displayed.
When using a projection lens other than the Zoom Lens (Model No.: ET-D3LEW200) and the Fixed-focus Lens
(Model No.: ET-D3LEU100), it is recommended to adjust the image after at least 30 minutes have elapsed with
the focus test pattern displayed. For details of the test pattern, refer to "[TEST PATTERN] menu" (x page 210).
To use the active focus optimizer function, set the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LENS] → [ACTIVE FOCUS
OPTIMIZER] → [ACTIVE FOCUS] to [ON], and then adjust the focus. (x page 173)

Press the <FOCUS> button to roughly adjust the focus of the projected image. (x page 85)

Change the setting of the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [PROJECTION METHOD] depending on the
installation mode. (x page 39)
f Refer to "Navigating through the menu" (x page 102) for the operation of the menu screen.

Confirm the [LENS TYPE].
f Confirm the setting of the lens type when using the projector for the first time after attaching the projection
lens. (x page 88)

Execute the lens calibration.
f Execute the lens calibration when attaching the Zoom Lens with the stepping motor and using the projector
for the first time. (x page 89)

Select the input by pressing the input selection button on the remote control or the control panel.
f The buttons that can be used on the remote control or the control panel are as follows.
Remote control:
<HDMI> button, <DISPLAYPORT> button, <SDI> button, <DIGITAL LINK> button, <SLOT 1> button
Control panel:
<HDMI 1/2> button, <DISPLAYPORT> button, <SLOT> button
