10 FAULT-FINDING

10.1 General (all installations)

Check the following, in sequence (by service engineer):
Step
1 Boiler display is blank.
2 Boiler display shows a
fault code.
3 Boiler display shows
operating code
(see Par. 6.3).
4 Use boiler manual
override.
(see Par. 6.1.3)
5 Override external
controls by fitting a
link across terminals
3 and 4 of the boiler
terminal strip.

Signs Check points
The mains voltage 230 V
The fuse in the euro-
connector.
The control box fuses.
For flashing digits.
0 (no heat demand)
1 to 9, h, l, b
Does the boiler start up?
Does the boiler start up?
Replace if necessary,
but check what circuit
it was protecting and
rectify if faulty.
If yes, follow instructions
in the table, ref.
Par. 10.2.
Go to point 4.
try to find the cause
of the fault, using
operating mode shown.
Yes, check external
control and wiring, or go
to point 6.
No, go to point 5.
Yes, check boiler
parameters. If all OK,
then replace control
box.
No, repeat point 3.or go
to point 6.
