7. Detailed Description
For reverse motion (
in the picture above), the motor rotates in the opposite direction to wipe from the
front side to the back side of the machine, with the wiper ([A] in the picture below) maintaining the lower
position (sweeping position).
The wiper cleans the electrode plate, then the wiper cleaner cleans the wiper to remove the attached
ink.
Around the slope at the back at the end of this motion (home position), the wiper ascends again.
The wiper drive motor is driven with 24 V. When positive voltage is applied to the motor, the output axis
of the motor rotates counterclockwise and the slider moves from the home position to the back.

When Ink Deficiency is Detected

If ink deficiency is not so serious, printing continues by compensating with the adjacent nozzles. If ink
deficiency is serious, automatic cleaning is performed.
