Auto Power-off Function

If no key is pressed for a certain period of time when the copier is in the Ready mode or the
Energy Saver mode, it will automatically turn off.
NOTE
You can specify the Auto Power-off function's timer settings from 1 to 4 hours. (See 'Changing the
Auto Power-off Time', on p. 2-35.)

Energy Saver Mode

When the copier is not being used for copying for an extended period of time, lowering the
temperature of the fixing unit can help economize on electricity. This is called the Energy Saver
mode. Press
Saver) again to wake it up for normal operation.
NOTE
You can set the energy saving level to -10%, -25%, or -50%, or specify Return to Standard Mode.

Auto Drawer Switching Function

If the currently selected drawer or the paper deck (option) runs out of paper during a Copy job,
the copier automatically locates another paper feeding location loaded with the same size paper,
and begins feeding paper from that paper feeding location.
NOTE
The Auto Drawer Switching function does not apply to the stack bypass and drawers that have been
designated as the feeding location for transparencies.
You can set whether or not each of the drawers and the paper deck (option) is subject to Auto Drawer
Switching. The default setting is "On" for all paper feeding locations. (See 'Setting a Drawer and the
Paper Deck for Auto Paper Selection/Auto Drawer Switching', on p. 2-14.)
