Sliding the Chassis onto the Rack Rails

Installing the Chassis into a Rack
1. Align the chassis rails with the front of the rack rails.
2. Slide the chassis rails into the rack rails, letting it rest on to the inner rail lips, while
keeping the pressure even on both sides. The spring latch engages when the chassis is
part way in. Push the server completely into the rack.
The rails will have pre-installed stop pins that
are intended as a safety stop for longer rail
applications. Remove these if necessary.

Note: The figure above is for illustrative purposes only. Always install servers at the bottom
of the rack first.
Warning: do not pick up the server with the front handles. They are designed to pull
the system from a rack only.
