47.1 Static MAC Filtering Overview

This chapter discusses MAC address port filtering.
Filtering means sifting traffic going through the Switch based on the source and/or destination MAC
addresses and VLAN group (ID).

47.1.1 What You Can Do

Use the Static MAC Filtering screen
the Switch.

47.2 Configure a Static MAC Filtering Rule

Use this screen to view and configure rules for traffic going through the Switch. Click SWITCHING > Static
MAC Filtering in the navigation panel to display the screen as shown next.

This field displays the index number of the rule.
This field displays whether the rule is activated or not.
This field displays the descriptive name for this rule. This is for identification purpose only.
