5. Start-up / shut-down
Abstract
This section describes how to start up and shut down the pump. You get to know which inspections contribute to
failure-free operation and increased life of the pump.

2. Make sure that all safety equipment is installed.
3. Make sure that all electrical connections are correct.
4. Open the check valves in the system.
5. Fill the pump together with the system.
6. Vent the pump and system.
7. Fully open the check valve on the suction side.
8. Close the check valve on the discharge side.
9. Start the pump.
10. Slowly open the check valve on discharge side.

1. Switch off the pump.
2. Vent the pump (system) again.
