Assigning User Function Keys

You can program each of the User
Function keys ( {F1} - {F3} ) with a
function that you use frequently.
When you wish to use that function,
instead of having to search through
several menus to find it, just press the
appropriate User Function key. This
procedure can be used to edit, delete
or change the contents of the User
Function keys.
Note
❒ When the machine is shipped, the
following functions are stored in
the User Function keys by default.

Storing/Editing the Contents
of a User Function Key
A
Press the { { { { User Tools} } } } key.
Assigning User Function Keys

Press 0 0 0 0 or 1 1 1 1 until "4. Fax Fea-
tures" is displayed.
C
Press the { { { { OK} } } } key.
D
Confirm that "1. Program / De-
lete" is displayed and press the
{ { { { OK} } } } key.
E
Press 0 0 0 0 or 1 1 1 1 until "7. User Func-
tions" is displayed and press the
{ { { { OK} } } } key.
F
Press the User Function key ( { { { { F1} } } }
– { { { { F3} } } } ) you want to use.

❒ If you make a mistake, press the
{Cancel} key and repeat from
step E.
