Replacing the alignment pins on the rail kit

The rail kit ships with preinstalled alignment pins on each outer cabinet member rail. The alignment pins—also known as
bosses—support the weight of the system during the installation process. To ensure that the alignment pins fit snugly
into the rack, check their size.
HPE racks require that the 8.9 mm alignment pins are installed in the rail kit for the J2000. Of the available alignment
pins shipped with the system, the 8.9 mm pins have a larger head size than the 7.1 mm and 9.5 mm pins. If your rail kit
does not come preinstalled with the 8.9 mm alignment pins, replace them as described in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Remove the two preinstalled 9.5 mm alignment pins from the bracket on each front outer cabinet member rail.
2. Install the four 8.9 mm alignment pins, two on each of the brackets on the front outer cabinet member rail.
3. Duplicate these steps for the alignment pins on the back of each rail.
There are a total of four pins per rail.
