Installing the power modules

Power modules are installed in the system from the factory, but they can be removed to lower the weight of the enclosure
to aid in installation. If you do not need to remove any system components for this purpose, proceed to Installing the
cable management arm.
Prerequisites
Review the Power module safety considerations before installing the power modules
Procedure
1. Make sure that the power module is in the proper orientation, with the power module release tab at the top.
2. With one hand supporting the bottom of the power module, insert the power module into the left power cavity in the
rear of the J2000.
3. Push the power module into the J2000 until the power module release tab engages and the power module cams into
place.
4. Test to ensure that the power module is properly installed.
a. Pull the finger handle slightly outward to verify that the power module is locked in place.
b. If the power module can be easily removed from the J2000 without pushing the power module release tab, remove
the power module.
c. Repeat steps 2 and 3, and then retest.
5. Repeat the preceding steps to install the other power module.

Installing the cable management arm

CAUTION: If the cable management arm (CMA) is preinstalled, a zip-tie strap secures it to the crossbar during
transportation to prevent damage. This strap must be removed. When fully installed, the CMA can only be pulled
25.4 cm (10 in) forward from the chassis to allow servicing of the fans.
