ASSEMBLY HYDRAULICS
The hydraulic supply points are on device
rear:

All pipe connections are 2" external threads (conical pipe
threads).
To avoid structure-borne sound transmissions to the
heating system, the connection of the heat pump on
the heating circuit water side and on the heat source
side must be vibration-free.
We recommend the use of compensators (see photo
to the right).
When connecting the heating circuit water pipework,
the connection point on the heat pump must be secu-
red against torsion with a spanner in order to avoid
damage to the copper pipe on the condenser side.

Heating circuit water supply point:
The heating system must be fl ushed before connecting the
heat pump to prevent contamination inside the heating system
affecting the function of the heat pump.
On the heat pump side, fl ow and return must be equipped with
isolating valves to allow eventual fl ushing of the condenser.
The heat source installation must be sized in accordance
with the prescriptions in the project planning manual.
Please note:
•
Ensure the minimum heating circuit water fl ow rate.
The minimum heating circuit water fl ow rate depends on the
heating output of the heat pump; for further details see the
technical data sheets of the heat pumps.
•
The spread between fl ow and return must be < 10K
•
Buffer storage
A series buffer storage is needed to ensure a minimum run-
ning time of the heat pump and to limit the number of heat
pump timings.
Size of the buffer storage:
VBuffer
•
With bivalent installations, the heat pump should never
be fl own through by heating circuit water temperatures
exceeding 55°C (M-devices) or 65°C (H-devices).
•
Circulating pump
The heating circuit water and sanitary water circulating
pumps must be graded.
•
Sanitary water heating
Domestic water heating with the heating pumps takes place
with a second heating circuit run in parallel to the heating
circuit. Please note: during the installation, the return must
not be connected to the buffer storage. Water heating takes
priority, provided it has not been altered within the program-
mer.
•
Sanitary water storage
For domestic hot water requirements using a heat pump, it
is vital to have special sanitary hot water storages. It is im-
portant to have a large enough heat exchanger within the
hot water tank to ensure the heating output of the heat
pump is transferred with lowest possible spread with a he-
ating circuit water fl ow temperature < 55°C (M-devices) or <
65°C (H-devices). The storage volume must be big enough
to ensure the required sanitary hot water quantity even du-
ring off-times by your local energy supply company..
