Spark plug service.
BPR5ES (NGK) or W16EPR - U
(NIPPONDENSO) spark plug recommended.
The candle must be properly installed to
ensure engine performance.
• Remove the candle pipe;
• Unscrew the spark plug
Attention! If the engine was running, the
exhaust and spark plug would be very hot. Be
careful not to touch the exhaust. Wait for the
engine to cool down.
• Visually inspect the candle. Replace it if the
insulator is cracked.

• Measure the distance between the candle
electrodes with a gauge plate or template.
The distance should be 0.7-0.8 mm (Fig. 29).
Adjust the distance if necessary using an
external electrode.
• Insert the spark plug washer and tighten it by
hand to the cylinder head, keeping the thread;
Tighten the new candle three times with a pipe
wrench to lock it in place. If you are using the
candle a second time, you should tighten it ½

-¼ times to the stop after insertion.
Attention! The candle must be securely
tightened, an improperly tightened candle can
get too hot and damage the engine. Never
use a candle with an incorrect operating
temperature.
Clutch Cable Adjustment.
Measure the free travel at the top of the lever.
Free travel: 3-8 mm.
If the idling is incorrect, loosen the counter nut
(key 1, fig. 31) and rotate the adjusting bolt

(key 2, fig. 31) in one direction or another as
needed.

After adjusting, tighten the counter nut (pos.
1, fig. 31) well. Then switch on the engine and
check that the clutch lever is working properly.
