8. The maintenance report, with recom-
mendations if any, shall be filed with
the owner or with the designated party
responsible for the system.
9. The service personnel shall date and
sign the Semi-Annual Inspection &
Maintenance Log contained in this
manual as an indication that the
inspection has been completed.
Twelve Years
Maintenance must be done on the fire sup-
pression system every twelve years. The
maintenance must be performed by certi-
fied service personnel as per NFPA 17A and
include the following:
1.
The wet chemical extinguishing agent
must be removed and discarded.
2. The cylinder needs to be hydrostati-
cally tested.
Certified service person-
nel can generally be
found locally through authorized suppli-
ers of fire extinguishing equipment in
yellow pages or call your Broaster Dis-
tributor for sources.
3. If the cylinder shows no signs of rup-
ture or distortion, recharge the Fire
Suppression system in accordance
with NFPA 17A guidelines.
