Changing the Jumper Settings

The jumpers on the main system board are preset to factory
default positions, indicated by an asterisk (*) in the tables
below. (See the illustration above to locate jumpers.) Use the
information in this section to change jumper settings, if
necessary.
N o t e
Any jumpers not listed in the following tables are for service
purposes only. Do not change their settings.

Enables the IDE hard disk drive controller
2-3 Disables the IDE hard disk drive controller
2-3* Selects the system board battery
3-4 Discharges CMOS memory (this resets the
SETUP values to their factory defaults)
1-4 Selects external battery
