end-point modules into the system manually.
Smart-Vue end-point modules offer a variety of data-logging, alert and
transmission options. This section describes the basic settings to get started
right away. Please see the complete Thermo Scientific Smart-Vue Software
User Manual for more details.
Moving the Smart-Vue end-point module into a group
1. Launch Smart-Vue Client on your computer and enter your login
name and password to continue. The new Smart-Vue end-point
module should be listed as shown here, where "local" refers to the
receiver and "SDP-local" refers to a generic group for new
un-configured end-point modules connected to that receiver.

2. Press F11 or select Settings ==> Sensor settings (
when prompted.
3. You may choose to click on Modify Sensor Name to assign replace
the numeric end-point module address with a user-friendly name
(e.g., Dry Contact 1).
The name on the end-point module's LCD is refreshed every 24 hours
(maximum) to preserve battery life. Thus, name changes may not be shown
immediately, but they are taken into account in the software.
