In the DYNAMIC SELECT menu, the driving
style of Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
can be set. Depending on which drive pro-
gram is selected, the driving characteristics
can be geared towards fuel economy, comfort
or dynamic performance. In the Active Dis-
tance Assist menu, the driving style can be
permanently set to Comfort or Dynamic
(
page 209).

king Assist: : if Active Dis-
tance Assist DISTRONIC has braked the vehicle to
a standstill, it can automatically follow the vehicle
in front when driving o again within 30 seconds.
If a critical situation is detected in the surrounding
area when driving o , such as a person in the
vehicle path, a visual and acoustic warning is
given indicating that the driver must now take
control of the vehicle. The vehicle is not acceler-
ated any further.
