Start Immobilizing
The 'Start Immobilizing' protocol can assist in running specialized procedures or in recovering failed
runs. The process will start from the step after the hybridized samples are bound to the
functionalized surface of the cartridge and proceed to immobilization of the bound samples.
NOTE:

To initiate the 'Surface Immobilization Protocol
Recovery' workflow, press start immobilizing on
the Troubleshoot Menu.
The 'Surface Immobilization Protocol Recovery'
screen will appear (Figure 135). Press next to
proceed with the protocol.
2.
Instructions will appear on the next screen
(Figure 136). Follow the instructions on the
touchscreen to configure the system for the surface
immobilization protocol.
1) Confirm that the surface binding and cartridge
buffer exchange are completed.
2) Place prep plates on the deck.
3) Load a new rack of tips.
4) Load a sample cartridge.
5) Place tip sheaths on the deck.
6) Empty the waste bin and place it on the deck.
7) Close the heater lid and electrode fixture.
Press next.
