loaded into the scanner. To prevent errors in transcribing, simply copy and paste the
name from the RLF itself. Navigate to the RLF location using File Explorer (PC) or Finder
(Mac):

Left click the RLF name once:

Then after waiting a few seconds, left click the RLF name again:

Now Copy (Ctrl c) this text and paste it into the cells G10 through G21 of the CDF utility
spreadsheet. Note that the RLF name will usually contain an underscore character (_), but
this character is allowed in this field in the CDF (and are required to recognize the correct
RLF name). Do not include the .rlf extension when transferring this information to the CDF
utility spreadsheet.

After all the required (yellow) cells have been completed, left click on the button labeled Create
Cartridge Definition File (CDF) underneath row 21. This will generate a comma-delimited text
file with the appropriate .cdf extension.

Save or transfer the file to a USB flash drive; it must reside in the CDFData folder on the USB in
order to be located by the Digital Analyzer.
NOTE: For facilities that do not allow transfer with USB drives, transfer can be performed via
Upload CDFs via FTPS

The name entered in the GeneRLF column must be identical to the RLF
for more details.
