5. Electrical connection

Switch off the power supply before you
start any work on the product. Make
sure that the power supply cannot be
switched on accidentally.
Lock the main switch in off position, or
unplug the power plug. Type and
requirements are specified in EN
60204-1, 5.3.

The protective earth (PE) of the power
outlet must be connected to the
protective earth of the product. The
plug must have the same PE
connection system as the power outlet.

The installation must be fitted with a
residual current device (RCD) with a
tripping current less than 30 mA.

The product must be connected to an
external main switch with a minimum
contact gap of 3 mm (0.12 inch) in all
poles.

Before opening the control cabinet,
switch off the power supply.
The operating voltage and frequency are marked
on the controller nameplate. Make sure that the
controller is suitable for the power supply on
which it will be used.
All cables/wires must be fitted through the cable
entries and gaskets.
The power outlet must be placed near the cabinet
as the controller is supplied with a 1.5 m cable.
If required according to local regulations, install an
external main switch.

5.1 Connecting a level sensor

You can either connect an analog level sensor, such
as a pressure sensor, or digital level sensors, such as
float switches.
1. Loosen the screws and remove the front cover.
Be careful not to damage the cable between the
front cover and the back cover.
2. Lead the wires through one of the cable glands.
3. Depending on the type of wire, take one of the
following actions:
For a shielded wire, lead it through the cable
clamp.
CIO1
For a not shielded wire, attach it to the
protection cover with a cable tie.
