Flushing the system

Contaminated drinking water

Death or serious personal injury

  • Flush the system before starting it or after a standstill period.

Drinking water systems Hygiene
Grundfos pressure booster systems are functionally tested by running water through the system. During the test, Grundfos continuously surveys the quality of the test water. Since it is not possible to completely drain and dry the system after the test, the system must be rinsed or flushed thoroughly before being taken into use in a drinking water sector due to risk of bacteria growth. This also applies if the system has been shut down for a long period of time. Rinsing and flushing must always be done in accordance with local regulations.
Contaminated drinking water endangers health.

Alarms

warningIf a dry-running alarm has been activated, find the cause before the pump is restarted in order to prevent damage to the pump.

Enabling and disabling anti-cycling

informationIn case of a very small water consumption, the anti-cycling function may detect this as cycling and stop the pump inadvertently. If this occurs, the function can be disabled.

Enabling and disabling the function

  1. Press Reset for 3 seconds until Power on starts flashing.
  2. Select whether the function is to be enabled ordisabled. Press Reset to change between enabled and disabled. Pump on is off when the function is disabled. Pump on is on when the function is enabled.
  3. Press Reset for 3 seconds to return to operation.
