6.8.4 REPLACING THE RAMP ADJUSTMENT PCB
Part #502034
Included with the Replacement Kit:
• Ramp Adjustment Circuit Board
• Push-on Knob
• Fibre Spacer Washer
Additional Supplies Required:
• Nut Driver, 3/8"
WARNING:
Electrical Shock Hazard: Disconnect the electrical supply before making repairs to the unit.
CAUTION:
Electronic components used in this unit are subject to damage by static electricity. Use proper
static discharge and grounding precautions when servicing the equipment.
NOTE:
If the unit has a time meter mounted on the rear panel, use the Time Meter/Ramp Adjustment
Circuit Board Kit #502123 (see Page 6-29) instead of this kit.
STEP 1
Remove the cover according to the instructions in Section 5.
STEP 2
Remove the main circuit board from the groove in the unit base, and disconnect the six wire
connectors. Set aside the main circuit board.
STEP 3
Disconnect the wire connector from the ramp
adjustment circuit board.
STEP 4
Remove the ramp adjustment knob from
the back of the unit by pulling firmly.
STEP 5
Using the nut driver, remove the 3/8" nut
holding the switch in place. Remove the
old circuit board from the rear panel and
discard.
STEP 6
Install the new circuit board into the rear
panel. Place the fiber washer over the
shaft of the switch. Orient the new circuit
board with the connector side away from
the main circuit board. Slide the lock
washer over the shaft and tighten the nut
securely. Tighten to a torque of 8 inch-lb.
Place the knob back on the shaft of the
switch.
STEP 7
Connect the wire connector to the ramp adjustment circuit board.
