Repair and Replacement
STEP 4
Using needle nose pliers, remove the 10
female spade terminals attached to the
transformer. Move the wires out of the way.
STEP 5
Using the 11/32" socket wrench, remove the
four (4) nuts with lockwashers from the top
of the transformer. Remove the transformer
from the unit.
STEP 6
Replace the four hex head screws that secure
the transformer in place, as necessary. Place
the nylon spacers, if used, on the front two
screws.
NOTE:
The nylon washers are not used in units with
the molded base and a solid false vent.
STEP 7
Place the new transformer in position. Check that all eight (8) nylon shoulder washers are posi-
tioned in the through holes of the transformer. Position the transformer with the yellow covered
coil side facing the blower housing.
STEP 8
Lay the unit on the rear panel. Using the
screwdriver, push the four screws inside the
hex recesses in the bottom. Thread the screws
through the holes in the transformer. Place
one or two drops of threadlock on the
threads of the screw ends. Tighten the nuts
onto the screws securing the transformer in
place.
